Australia: Sydney – Beaches
Sydney has many beautiful beaches. The most famous is ofcourse Bondi, but I like Manly Beach more. The ferry ride is awesome. You can catch a ferry from Circular Quay’s Wharf 3 and you can enjoy georgous views from the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. Twenty minutes later you arrive in Manly. It has a long, wide beach, and heaps of shops and restaurants on the boulevard and side streets. With the girls, Mabel from Hong Kong and Gina from Taiwan, I ate Fish & Chips for the very first time. A typical Australian dish.
Sydney heeft veel mooie stranden. Het bekendste is natuurlijk Bondi, maar persoonlijk vind ik Manly Beach leuker. De ferry rit is een toppertje. Van Circular Quay stap je op een veerboot en vervolgens heb je een prachtig uitzicht op de Harbour Bridge en het Opera House. Twintig minuutjes later arriveer je in Manly. Het heeft een lang breed strand, en leuke winkeltjes en restaurantjes op de promenade en de zijstraatjes. Met de meiden Mabel uit Hongkong en Gina uit Taiwan heb ik voor het eerst Fish & Chips gegeten. Een typisch Australisch gerecht.
The beach of Watsons Bay is not great but I enjoyed the views of the city while having lunch with the Australian Casey, the Brit Adrian and the German Katharina.
Het strand van Watsons Bay stelt niet veel voor maar ik heb toch genoten van de mooie uitzichten op de stad tijdens een lekkere lunch met de Australiër Casey, de Brit Adrian en de Duitse Katharina.
