Bolivia: Sucre- Dinosaur tracks

I was in Sucre during carnaval. That means:  marching bands in every street, water balloons coming from each direction and wild foam fights. I don’t have pics of the carnaval madness because my camera wouldn’t survive the mayhem. Carnaval is fun for a few days but after a while it has to stop. You can’t go outside without getting  wet.  I stayed inside the hostel for two days, hiding. In the middle of the week, I found the courage to go out again.  I went with travel buddy Kelsey, Brit James and Frenchie Constance to Parque Cretacico, just outside of Sucre. This is a theme park with a number of life-size models of dinosaurs and real dinosaur tracks. The park is cheesy and you have seen the entire place in half an hour but authentic dino tracks are pretty cool.

Ik was in Sucre tijdens carnaval. Dat betekent een fanfare band in  elke straat, waterballonnen die uit alle richtingen worden gekatapulteerd en wilde schuimgevechten. Ik heb hier  geen foto’s van want mijn camera zou deze uitspattingen niet overleven.  Carnaval is leuk voor enkele dagen maar daarna is het genoeg geweest.  Je kan de straat niet op zonder zeiknat te worden. Twee dagen heb ik binnen geschuild. In de helft van de week konden we eindelijk buiten. Toen ben ik  met reismaatje Kelsey, de Brit James en de Franse Constance naar de dinosaurussporen gaan kijken in Parque Cretacico, net buiten Sucre. Dit is een park met een aantal levensgrote dino’s en dinosaurus tracks. Het park is vrij klef en je hebt het op een half uur wel gezien maar levensechte dinosporen zijn best cool om te zien.
